Network drivers
Network drivers (Wi-Fi and Ethernet) are required for internet. Without them you cannot connect after installing Atlas. If you followed the Playbook guide, you may have already downloaded them to a USB drive.
Finding your network adapter
- Open Device Manager (press Win + X Enter or search in Start)
- Expand Network adapters
- Note the name of your Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter (e.g., Intel Wi-Fi 6, Realtek PCIe GbE)
Installing from manufacturer website
Download network drivers from your motherboard or device manufacturer’s support page.
- Search for “your motherboard model support” or “your laptop model drivers”
- Find the LAN or Wi-Fi driver section
- Download the latest driver for your adapter
- Run the installer and follow the setup instructions
- Restart your computer if prompted
Can't Find Drivers?
Search for your network adapter name (from Device Manager) plus “driver”. Intel, Realtek, and Qualcomm provide generic drivers for their adapters.
Common network adapter manufacturers
- Intel - Intel Download Center
- Realtek - Search your motherboard manufacturer’s support page (Realtek often doesn’t offer direct downloads)
- Qualcomm/Atheros - Usually available from your laptop or motherboard manufacturer
Troubleshooting
- No internet after install: Download network drivers before reinstalling Windows. If you have another device with internet, download there and transfer via USB.
- Driver won’t install: Run the installer as administrator (right-click Run as administrator).
- Still no connection: Try Snappy Driver Installer Origin as a backup, select only your network adapter driver.
